Meet Cassandra Adelmann, or Cassi, our Marketing & Ecommerce Manager, who has been with Ettinger for the past year. Despite being one of the newest members, Cassi has made a significant impact on our team. Here’s a closer look at her role and contributions.
What is your role in the company and when did you start working for Ettinger?
"I began working for the Ettinger team just over a year ago in October 2023 straight into the busiest season: Christmas."
Cassi plays a pivotal role in Ettinger’s marketing efforts, serving as the key decision-maker on all marketing operations. She manages three other marketing team members and works closely with our CEO, Robert Ettinger, to coordinate various marketing campaigns and product launches throughout the year. Her leadership and vision have been instrumental in elevating our brand's visibility and connecting with our audience in meaningful ways.
On the ecommerce side, Cassi oversees everything related to our website. She collaborates closely with our digital agency to continually enhance Ettinger.co.uk, ensuring it provides an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
What lead you to working in this field in the first place?
"I knew I wanted to go into marketing following an internship at a marketing agency that I had done at 15. I went on to study Marketing and French at university while building up my experience in the field and once graduated started working in the luxury retail space.
The Ecommerce side is something that has developed through my career, as online shopping became more and more of a priority for businesses. It is something I was interested in and learnt very much on the job!"
What does a day at work look like for you?
In marketing, each day brings something new. With so many aspects to cover, Cassi’s role is full of variety, keeping her on her toes as she tackles fresh projects daily. This ever-changing landscape is part of what makes her role so exciting and rewarding.
"Typically the marketing team are working on upcoming campaigns or product launches, so much of the time is making sure all the different elements of each campaign (PR, photography, online and offline advertising, website updates, newsletters) are coming together and reflecting the brand/marketing message in the right way."
What do you enjoy about working at Ettinger?
Like many on the Ettinger team, Cassi's favourite part of working here is the people. With team members ranging from decades-long veterans to recent additions, Ettinger fosters a unique family-like atmosphere that is rare in the luxury industry. This mix of experience and fresh perspectives creates a supportive environment that Cassi deeply values.
"Everyone works so well together and gets along - we are a very close knit team. I also really enjoy working for a family run business and having Robert's input on our work. It makes everything feel more authentic."
What is your favourite product from Ettinger and why?
"With my marketeer hat on, I would say the Bridle Hide Billfold Wallet as it is such an iconic piece that really encompassing everything that Ettinger is known for; fantastic quality, well thought out design, and unique colours. It makes my job a lot easier when the product very much speaks for itself!
However, on a personal note, I love our Kensington Tote Bag. It is the perfect size for an elegant, everyday bag that fits my laptop and essentials for the office. Also, the structure means that things don't tend to get lost at the bottom which is often what happens with totes!"
What was the most memorable marketing campaign you worked on since joining Ettinger?
This year marked Ettinger's 90th anniversary, a milestone we celebrated by revisiting our archives, sharing stories from our early days, and highlighting the craftsmanship that defines us.
The team put tremendous effort into this campaign, and for Cassi, it stands out as her most memorable moment since joining Ettinger. Bringing the brand's legacy to life and honouring its heritage made this a truly special project for her.
"We worked on a brand video (which took about 2 months to make from concept to delivery!) telling the story of Ettinger's history and showcasing the craftsmanship of each piece. We also launched a limited edition collection featuring the original guardsman logo and put together a three part series on our journal tracing the origins of Ettinger from 1934 until now."
What big campaign are you working on at the moment?
"Having just launched our games collection, now it's all about Christmas...And Black Friday of course (though we're keeping that one quiet!) It's a very busy time of year for Ettinger as we are so popular with gift givers and have such a wide selection that we are always thinking of new ways to showcase the different collections and make them easily shoppable for our customers online.
Then it's onwards to 2025! We have already got some exciting new products in the pipeline so it's at this time when we start to plot our the year ahead and brainstorm ideas for campaigns to give maximum impact to each launch."
