Our new Leather Cigar Wrap, created in collaboration with Hunters & Frankau, has been a long time in the making, our first discussions began in March 2022.
Perfecting the wrap took over a year, involving multiple rounds of sampling by our factory manager, in-depth discussions, and rigorous testing by the Hunters & Frankau team.
Our factory manager Gary, started working on the first sample in Spring of 2022 using the initial concepts and sketches from our CEO Robert and the Hunters & Frankau team. Once the sample was ready, it was sent to Hunters & Frankau for feedback, where they provided suggestions for improvements.
Gary then refined the design through several rounds of sampling before reaching the final version, which was approved by both Robert and Hunters & Frankau.
Between each sample iteration, members of the Hunters & Frankau team tested the sample for several weeks, ensuring it was both functional and practical for cigar smokers. Each time, they returned with feedback, requesting various refinements to the design until we finalised it in 2023.
The cigar wrap is handcrafted at Ettinger's factory in Walsall, near Birmingham. Due to its complexity, only our most skilled artisans are capable of producing it.
